Cape Le Grand Book Project

Updated: Nov 2, 2023

Thuriyya Ibrahim received a grant to assist in the writing and publication of a non-fiction book about Cape Le Grand, that blends reflection on the environment, history and land use at Cape Le Grand.

With increasing national and international interest in Cape Le Grand, Thuriyya's book will explore the tension between conservation and tourism development.

It will provide research about what is significant and important in this space, encourage community discussion and dialogue and help inform decision making from a community perspective.

The book is due to be launched in June 2025.

Funded by the Rural & Regional Advancement Foundation.
